About Micro-needling

As we age, our skin's natural ability to rejuvenate and repair itself slows down due to reduced collagen and elastin production—those essential "youth" proteins that keep our skin strong, elastic, and firm. Micro-needling is a fantastic way to boost your skin’s natural repair process by encouraging the production of these vital proteins. Think of it as collagen and elastin induction therapy! During the procedure, a skin pen with tiny, sterile needles gently glides over the face, creating micro-injuries. These micro-injuries trigger the skin's healing process, stimulating collagen and elastin production, leading to firmer, smoother, and more youthful-looking skin.

What to Expect

What can I expect afterwards?

One may have redness to the forehead, cheeks, and chin for up to 48 hours. Most individuals appear perfectly normal within 24 hours of the micro- needling procedure. Within 2 to 3 weeks of recovery, you can expect to see several positive changes in your skin. Fine lines and wrinkles begin to smooth out, giving your skin a more youthful appearance. Acne scars may start to fade, and your skin will feel firmer and more plump. You'll notice improved hydration, a reduction in pore size, and fewer blackheads. Your skin tone will appear more even, with a diminished appearance of melasma, rosacea, scars, stretch marks, and sun damage. These improvements collectively contribute to a more radiant and refreshed complexion.

Will it hurt?

A numbing cream is applied pre-procedure. Even without numbing cream, the procedure is not painful. One may experience a slight stinging sensation.

What's my recovery time?

As the skin heals, it produces new collagen and elastin, improving skin texture and revealing a more youthful appearance. To achieve optimal results, we recommend at least 3 to 6 treatments spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart, depending on your skin’s condition. The best results are typically seen about 3 weeks after each procedure, as the skin's natural collagen and elastin production, along with the revascularization of the skin layers, takes time to develop.
